At Gourmand Breaks we offer an infinite number of customized tour possibilities, with varying transport options, be it trains, luxury chauffeured vehicles etc. Our main two travel options are:

This is the most complete travel option for discerning travelers, including the services of an expert bilingual guide (specialized in cuisine and wine and graduated as an Official Tourist Guide by the Spanish/Portuguese/French government) and of a professional chauffeur driving a luxury vehicle. Our guide will dedicate him/herself exclusively to you during your private visits, whilst our chauffeur will drive you in a top class vehicle (or luxury mini-bus or coach according to numbers) throughout your tour itinerary. This travel option allows you to thoroughly enjoy your specially tailored tour in the most comfortable way; the chauffeur service guarantees that you have easy access to all the places of interest and you will not lose your precious time on parking or walking. On tours to wineries you will be privately attended by bi-lingual in-house wine experts at each venue and have our chauffeurs at your disposal for all transfers.

Our self-drive tours are for travelers that prefer the freedom to drive themselves at their leisure whilst enjoying their private tour with us. Gourmand Breaks’ services based on this option include a luxury rental vehicle (Audi A4, Mercedes E or BMW) with automatic transmission and GPS, delivered to and collected from your hotel, transfer from and to the airport, our usual 24/7 back office assistance and a free local cellphone for the duration of the tour to enable you to contact Gourmand Breaks for any assistance or in an emergency situation.

Many of our customized tours of Spain & Portugal also include use of the wonderful high speed and comfort AVE trains or luxury inter-country overnight rail travel. As all of our tours are private and specially personalized for you, our guest, we can include any travel option you wish – we combine the best transport available to ensure your comfort throughout your very special customized tour with us. You may wish to include in your tour itinerary hiking, cycling, horse riding, etc. – we will be only too pleased to accommodate your preferences.

On our website you will find plenty of sample tour itineraries in Spain, Portugal and SW France to inspire you and it may just be that you are happy with our original tour, but if you wish, you can then customize the tour according to your preferences - sailing around the Spanish Costa Brava, a Rabelo cruise on the Portuguese Douro River, a balloon flight over La Rioja vineyards, cycling routes, helicopter trips, Michelin starred restaurants route, etc.

Perhaps you would like to combine a specially customized tour of Spain and Portugal; maybe you would like to enjoy our long Barcelona weekend tour and add a short stay in the countryside? Or possibly you may prefer to visit San Sebastian and La Rioja region or Lisbon and the incredibly beautiful Douro Valley - of course we can do that for you. We will be your hosts during your stay in our glorious Mediterranean regions. Our guides and chauffeurs are completely at your disposal for as long as you like or you may prefer to tour on a Self/Drive and Guided basis, in which case we will supply a luxury vehicle with GPS.

Note that there is no additional charge for planning your customized tour – at Gourmand Breaks it is our job to personalize the whole experience to meet the expectation of you, our client. Being based here in Spain and having an extensive knowledge of the areas involved we are only too happy to do so!

Our tours can be for two people or even sometimes for 30! You only have to let us know when, where and how many guests and we will put your ideas together and then, with you, refine your customized tour until it suits your very personal requirements.

A deposit of 40% per person is required to confirm your booking. We are pleased to accept Visa or MasterCard through our Secure Payment Platform, as well as bank transfers for deposits and final payments. All reservations are subject to our Terms and Conditions.
