Mas Foraster are a family winery, which only produce wine from grapes planted in their own vineyards. They seek to produce deep wines with a Mediterranean flavor, combining elegance and balance. To do this they use integrated farming with the natural environment and are committed not to increase their production, therefore their wines will always be of limited production, which they believe is the only way to ensure the best quality. Their wine Josep Foraster Criança 2007, won the Gold Medal in the International Wine Awards “ Selections Mondiales des Vins 2011”, in Canada. On the 28th of June 2010, Mas Foraster presented its new red wine “Josep Foraster Trepat”, made from Trepat, a native grape from the Conca de Barberà. The Trepat is a variety which is mostly used to elaborate wine and cava rosé, distinguished by its fruity and freshness. The Josep Foraster Trepat 2009, has an intense color, its aromas combine a subtle fruit, spices and some light notes of toasted oak; its taste is elegant, fresh and persistent which altogether, make it a very original and seductive wine.
