This site is owned and operated by Gourmand Breaks Spanish Tour Operator, License Number GC-1627, Tax Number B-61124814, inscribed in the Commercial Register of Girona on 17 of May 1996, Volume 2661, page GI- 46344, Folio 103. The following terms and conditions form the basis of your contract with Gourmand Breaks.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations: For cancellations made more than 90 days in advance, 100% refund is given, less a 400 Euro administrative fee per person and any possible non-refundable deposits we paid on your behalf (hotels, etc.). For cancellations made between 90 and 60 days prior to departure, 100% refund is given, less a 700 Euro administrative fee per person and any possible non-refundable deposits we paid on your behalf (hotels, etc.) . Cancellations made within 60 days prior to departure, will receive no refund. We at Gourmand Breaks, strongly recommend you purchasing  Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) Travel Insurance, which will protect you against any eventuality.

Please note: Specific cancellation conditions apply for groups.

Force Majeure: We cannot accept liability or pay compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by “force majeure”. In these Terms & Conditions, “force majeure” means any event we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat or war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.

Gourmand Breaks also reserves the right to modify the wineries, hotels, restaurants etc. detailed in the itinerary, in the event of unforeseen and exceptional circumstances. Every effort will be made to follow stated itineraries, but when impossible to do so, products and services of similar or superior quality will be substituted. In these unlikely and exceptional cases, we will strive to minimally impact the itinerary and you will receive notice as soon as possible.

Please note that we cannot guarantee any specific hotels included in a trip proposal until the deposits have been received, as most of the hotels we use are small, boutique properties with a limited number of rooms. We reserve the right to substitute the same or superior level hotels when necessary.

GENERAL

The purchase of any travel services offered by Gourmand Breaks S.L. constitutes a contractual arrangement between you and Gourmand Breaks and represents your acceptance of our Terms & Conditions, set out herein and also included in your Detailed Tour Itinerary Proposal. Please read them carefully prior to booking, as they are legally binding.

All bookings are subject to availability. Before a booking is taken, an “official” Detailed Tour Itinerary Proposal will be sent to you. Once you have confirmed to us that you are happy with the proposal, we will proceed to take payment and issue you with a booking confirmation. By making the reservation you accept that you have the authority to bind all members of your party to these terms and conditions of booking and you take responsibility as the lead name on the booking to make payment and to receive documentation on behalf of your party.

PAYMENT

To confirm your trip reservation with Gourmand Breaks, we require a 30% deposit of the total cost of the tour in order to secure your booking. Furthermore, all custom built tours are subject to 400 Euros per person deposit, which will be discounted from the total amount to be paid. Payment must be made in the currency of the invoice (Euros). We accept Visa and MasterCard via our Online Secure Payment Site. Please note that we do not charge any supplement for credit card payments. We also accept bank transfers, in which case you will be responsible for any bank charges that may be incurred.

Final Balance Payment is due 60 days before your departure. If your tour starts in less than 60 days, the full balance is required upon booking confirmation.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We require that you have Travel and Medical Insurance before joining us on a tour. We also strongly recommend Cancellation Insurance to all of our guests to cover both the investment in the trip, and yourselves, during the tour. Gourmand Breaks will not absorb any costs and does not accept responsibility if guests come on tour without these recommended insurances.

Proof of required travel insurance must be submitted to Gourmand Breaks within 30 days of securing booking for your tour.

You are also responsible for bringing with you any prescribed medication that may be necessary. We advise you to review your Medical Insurance to ensure you have adequate coverage, and to purchase additional supplementary coverage if needed.

Clients, together with their personal property including baggage, are at all times solely at their own risk. Clients are wholly responsible for arranging their own insurance, understanding the particulars of their policy and providing the Company with documentation. When purchasing insurance, clients should ensure that there are no exclusion clauses limiting protection for the type of activities in their trip.

Please be advised that, as required by Spanish Law and in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act of Spanish Law (Ley 1/2007 General de Defensa de Consumidores y Usuarios), Gourmand Breaks is able to offer our clients a Travel and Cancellation Insurance, provided by a reputed Spanish insurance company. However, please note that this insurance coverage is only valid for the duration of your tour with us in Spain/Portugal/France/Italy and does not include your flights. We therefore recommend you to purchase Travel, Cancellation and Medical Insurance in your country of origin, as it will cover you from the moment you leave your country, including your flights.

TRANSPORTATION

All of our tours provide transportation between cities, tour activities, events, etc., as well as airport pick-up and drop off. The specific type of transport provided varies depending on your personal tour itinerary.

We are happy to arrange your hotel accommodations if you arrive before or leave after the specified tour dates; otherwise, all accommodations outside of the specified tour dates are your responsibility. If you would like our assistance, please let us know.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

To join a Gourmand Breaks tour, it is the responsibility of each tour guest to arrange their travel to the city of the start of the tour (Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Bordeaux, Rome, Venice, etc.), as well as to obtain and carry with them a valid passport, visa, or any other necessary travel document as required by current government specifications.

U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand citizens need a valid passport to enter Spain, Portugal, Italy and France. We advise that you make copies of your passport and leave it with someone back home in case of loss. No visa is required to enter Spain, Portugal, Italy and France for our tours. If you are a citizen of another country, please notify us and we will discuss any special requirements for your situation.
There will be no refunds in the event you arrive for your tour late or leave early.

Sometimes the activities arranged in the tours can be physically challenging for some guests. Please let us know if you have any disabilities or reduced mobility and we will work with you to ensure the most adequate routes and places.

Finally, as food is an important part of every tour experience, please let us know in case you have any food allergies, preferences or intolerances and we will arrange your meals, tastings etc. accordingly.

ROOMING DETAILS

Accommodations are based on double occupancy. If any members of your party require single use rooms, please let us know and we will provide the corresponding single supplement costs. For our solo guests, their personal tour itinerary is quoted directly based on single use rooms, suites etc.

ONCE IN SPAIN, PORTUGAL, FRANCE & ITALY

In case you ever need anything during your tour of Spain, Portugal, Italy and France with Gourmand Breaks, we will always offer you 24/7 assistance for any emergencies or unforeseen circumstances and office hours assistance for any restaurant bookings, questions, advice etc.

We do not expect and certainly do not want dissatisfied clients, but in the event that you are not entirely satisfied with the service offered, you should notify any complaint to our office as soon as possible by calling us on +34 972 219640 or by sending an email with details of your complaint to [email protected]. We will use all reasonable efforts to rectify the complaint as soon as possible.

LAW & JURISDICTION

These terms and conditions and all matters arising therefrom are subject to Spanish Law and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Spanish courts.
